THERE'S AN EAGLE IN THE DUCK POND was written to challenge or readers to think about the friends they choose and the company they keep. It was written during one of the lowest periods of our author's career, shortly after losing his dream job as a Division I head baseball coach at his beloved alma mata, FLORIDA A&M university. After being accused of hazing and unceremoniously fired, our author pulled away from baseball and his beloved university, our author battled with years of depression. Thankfully he won his battle with depression.
