WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A RATTLER was a peom written in 1996 as an insert the the FAMU baseball player handbook. The poem found itself being read at conferences and baseball gatherings. It was later converted to a book shortly after the passing of legendary baseball coach, Robert Tyrone Lucas. Procedes from this story go the FAMU baseball alumni association and directly support the FAMU baseball program.
